The world is home to 45 million who are blind. In fact, every 3rd blind person in the world is an Indian. About 90% of the worlds visually impaired live in developing countries. Globally, uncorrected refractive errors are the main cause of visual impairment; cataracts remain the leading cause of blindness in middle- and low-income countries.80% of Indian population especially the elderly poor lives deep in the rural countryside having little or no access to adequate medical aid.

Serve Samman Vocational Training:


Due to the increasing demand for vocational skills, Serve Samman has established ACC, BCC & CCC computer courses provided by the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NEILT) of Government of India in our Sangam Vihar & Noida Centers.We aim to set a foundation in which students are provided with practical skills that will empower them to obtain related jobs and achieve financial independence.

At Serve Samman, we encourage and acknowledge individual accomplishments. On 10th September, certificates by NIIT were awarded to 36 Students of CCAB-Basic, and 15 Students of DTP Advance coursesin the presence of Mr Bikram Jha, Mr. Ravi Srivastava, Mr. Dipak Khanna & representative of Café Coffee Day.

Hard work should never go unnoticed. Beyond the positive outcomes based on the tools we provide, we recognize the application of these skills and further encourage our children by awarding well deserved merits. Serve Samman was able to pay the full fees of Rohit Kumar Halder to Banarsidas Chandiwala Institute of Physiotherapy for the completion of his Physiotherapy course. On the other hand, six days later, four of our center’s intelligent and deserving students- Kunal, Subham, Shivam and Sagar- participated in an event organized by White Ladder at Western Resort, Sohna. They were awarded four bicycles for their contribution and dedicationto the event.

However, our most important achievement was the Independence Day event hosted by Serve Samman in honor of our children. The event celebratedthe lives of everyone who fought for the country’s freedom and inspired our children to believe in their capacity for success. Ittaught our children that with hard work and dedication, the sky is the limit if they believed in their potential. The day consisted of a quiz competition which was followed by dances and sweets. The auspicious ceremony of flag hosting was done by Ms. SHEETAL SARDANA and MR. SANJEEV SINGH.

On September 26th, Serve Samman hosted the group from "Blessed Soul", led by Ms. Shweta which included counselling sessions with 55 students from our centers. The purpose of these sessions was to motivate students to pursue their goalsfor thefuture and provide them with necessaryguidance to succeed in life.

On the completion of a yearlong Beauty Culturecourse by Serve Samaan, certificates were awarded by Beauty Basket and Fashion Designing Certificates along with Singer India at our Sangam Vihar Center.

On December 16th, a picnic organized at the Indira Gandhi Centre by the "Food Safety and Standards Authority of India," included 88 of our students who were given the opportunity to participatein the “Eat Right India” drawing competition and picnic organized by "Food Safety and Standards Authority of India." Students were recognized by receivingcertificates for their exceptional work and talent during this time. In an event organized by Mr. Luv Jasuja and group at Ramada Hotel in Gurgaon, heavy duty bicycles were gifted to four of our bright and well deserving students; Master Priyanshu, Yash Kumar, Ms. Neha & Hazra

Serve Samman ended a successful and fulfilling year by celebrating Christmas and New Years’ Eve with a bang. On Christmas eve, Mrs. Tina from New York distributed uniforms and sweets to all nursery class students. Children welcomed the New Year by performing songs and dancesand celebrated by receiving sweets, shawls, shoes and socks.

The latter half of 2018 was very special for Serve Samman, as outlined by the events conducted.These accomplishments further reinforced our ideals to create a brighter future for our children. By providing them with necessary tools, celebrating their achievements and encouraging progress, Serve Samman is proud to contribute toward creating a future for our children and most importantly instilling hope that dreams can come true.

We would like to especially thank the generous people and organizations which made these events possible. They played significant roles in helping us become closer to our goals by supporting our endeavors and propagating our mission to create a better, brighter and successful future for today’s youth. Master G Apparel Designing and Fabrication


Serve Samman advocates women empowerment and aims to provide training that will provide the means necessary to prepare for their careers and future. On July 31st, students of “Master G Apparel Designing and Fabrication,” visited “Shahi Exports”. The purpose of the educational visit was to make girls aware of the garment business and the work done in the industry. Educating women about such opportunities, promotes better outcomes in job seeking and attaining financial independence.

Beauty Basket Course




Very recently on April 25th, yet another major disaster hit our neighboring nation, Nepal with a massive earthquake of a 7.8 magnitude. So far, over 5,000 people have perished and thousands more are expected dead or injured. The Aftershocks of the earthquake are still occurring, leaving thousands of people each day without food and shelter.

Our Team of doctors left for NEPAL, with the first batch of relief material on 7th May 2015. The next batch is ready to dispatch soon.

We urgently your support in the form of :

  • Material:- Large quantities of medicines, peanuts, milk powder, good quality solar torches, torch and batteries, umbrellas, water purifier tablets, chlorine tablets, dry food etc.

14th Anniversary Celebrations Of Naandi Day


Naandi Foundation began operations on the 1st of November, 1998. Celebrations were held in all the mandals to celebrate the occasion. Programs to celebrate the same were organized by the Academic Resource Coordinators of respective mandals. Sport competitions were conducted for the children and parents of Nanhi Kali. And prizes were distributed towards the end of the event. But amongst all the fun, the gathering was also educated about the Nanhi Kali program. – Drop this if there are no supporting images

Tuticorin Talent Hunt


Inter-school competitions were organized at the RC School, Therespuram on 9th Feb 2013. Project Nanhi Kali along with Sterlite Copper jointly organized the "TALHUNT", attended by 1500 children from 72 different schools across Tuticorin. Events like such as 200m dash, lemon race, memory games and numerous others were enjoyed by the kids.

Mummy Exhibition, Mumbai


In the last week of February, Reliance Foundation and BP, in collaboration with the British Museum and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, brought to India an award winning exhibition, ‘Mummy: The Inside Story’. The exhibition focused on the secrets of an Egyptian priest who died nearly 3000 years ago depicted by a 3D film.

This was an eye opener for 22 Nanhi Kalis that got an opportunity to participate. Nanhi Kali hopes to continue providing several more underprivileged girls in India with such opportunities.
